Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers to reduce fall risk and promote independence
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and support staff to execute individualized care plans
• Offer comforting support to residents and families during routine care and transitions

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active/eligible to obtain Pennsylvania CNA credential for work in Gettysburg, PA
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but new grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, feeding and toileting assistance
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience with older adults
