Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing and toileting
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for patients and families
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team
• Support resident dignity and comfort, building trusting relationships every shift
• Participate in shift handoffs and follow care plans to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state certification required; ability to obtain Pennsylvania certification if transferring)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong training are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assisting with ADLs
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Good documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
