Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and safely, ensuring patients receive the right therapy at the right time
- Use Epic Willow Ambulatory to process orders and maintain electronic medication records
- Support medication safety initiatives by double-checking doses, labels, and patient information
- Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical teams to optimize patient drug therapy decisions
- Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and help manage pharmacy workflow efficiently
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and clinical staff about medications and processes
- Complete required documentation, assist with audits, and follow regulatory and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required upon submission
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Epic Willow Ambulatory experience required — you should be comfortable navigating the system
- Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
- Able to pass pre-employment/post-offer drug screen prior to start
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and every-other-weekend coverage as required by the department
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Pharmacy Technician course completion preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication dispensing and medication safety best practices
- Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory workflow and electronic medication records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and dosing
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy pharmacy setting
- Basic inventory management and supply restocking knowledge
