Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and safely, ensuring patients receive the right therapy at the right time
• Use Epic Willow Ambulatory to process orders and maintain electronic medication records
• Support medication safety initiatives by double-checking doses, labels, and patient information
• Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical teams to optimize patient drug therapy decisions
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and help manage pharmacy workflow efficiently
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and clinical staff about medications and processes
• Complete required documentation, assist with audits, and follow regulatory and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required upon submission
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Epic Willow Ambulatory experience required — you should be comfortable navigating the system
• Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
• Able to pass pre-employment/post-offer drug screen prior to start
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and every-other-weekend coverage as required by the department

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Pharmacy Technician course completion preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication dispensing and medication safety best practices
• Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory workflow and electronic medication records
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and dosing
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy pharmacy setting
• Basic inventory management and supply restocking knowledge
