Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; schedule assigned within Sunday-Saturday (rotating nights), 36 hours guaranteed

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide supportive services to nursing staff and perform assigned duties with compassion and attention
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) — bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting — following individualized care plans
- Safely lift, turn, position and transport residents using facility-approved techniques and equipment
- Coordinate dining room services: set-up/clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance and accurate documentation of intake
- Deliver nutritional supplements and document intake to support resident nutrition goals
- Weigh residents per facility policy, record results, and report significant changes to nursing supervision
- Monitor skin condition and report pressure areas, breakdowns or tears promptly to nursing leadership
- Complete flow sheets and daily documentation to record care delivered and resident progress
- Communicate resident condition changes and barriers to care to nurses and supervisors in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Active Michigan license required at time of submission
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care (LTC) — required
- Prior travel experience is required
- Demonstrated successful work history (no short tenures; previous positions maintained longer than 13 weeks)
- No disciplinary action in effect against certification or licensure
- Resume with permanent address, skills checklist (within last year), 2 supervisory references from last 2 years, and active license/certifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and feeding assistance
- Patient lifting, turning, positioning and safe transfer techniques
- Documentation and completing flow sheets accurately and timely
- Weight measurement and recording; recognizing and reporting changes
- Skin assessment and pressure area monitoring
- Toileting assistance and implementation of toileting programs
- Strong communication with nursing staff and supervisors
- Familiarity with EMR: American Data
