Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform CT scanning procedures with precision and care
• Position and transfer patients safely using appropriate lifting and immobilization techniques
• Obtain patient identification and relevant medical history, including allergy information
• Prepare and inject IV contrast per radiologist protocols, and monitor patients for reactions
• Capture, develop and securely store diagnostic images, ensuring image quality and adherence to protocols
• Perform daily calibration and quality control on CT equipment and follow MRMC imaging protocols
• Assist radiologists during specialized procedures and support the diagnostic process with accurate records
• Provide basic CPR and assist in emergency medical situations as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, supplies, and department inventory to keep the workflow smooth
• Participate in departmental quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CT experience (required)
• Hands-on experience with Philips CT systems (required)
• Traveler experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Registry maintained in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
• Skills checklist completed within one year preferred (required for RN specialties)
• Ability to follow MRMC protocols and Michigan Department of Public Health safety standards
• Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of CT scanning procedures and patient positioning
• IV contrast preparation and safe administration
• Image capture, storage, transfer, and electronic/digital documentation
• Daily quality control and equipment calibration practices
• Radiation safety standards and safe work practices
• Familiarity with Philips CT platforms and Cerner EMR
• Strong patient communication and emergency response (CPR) skills
• Ability to assist radiologists and follow detailed protocols
