Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to patients of all ages in the ED
• Assess, triage and stabilize acute and critical conditions quickly and confidently
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and multidisciplinary teams to create and execute care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring responses and documenting care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures and discharge instructions
• Support unit flow by working as a reliable team player who can float when needed

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or educational equivalent
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
• Ability to float between units as needed
• Comfort working nights and weekends in a fast-paced emergency department

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with acute care interventions and monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Basic pediatric and adult emergency care knowledge
