Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function for geriatric patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document clinical findings and progress notes thoroughly and timely
• Communicate treatment plans and progress with families and caregivers in a compassionate way
• Provide training and education to facility staff to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Active SLP license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Ability to pass standard background checks and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with a geriatric population
• Current BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluation and treatment of dysphagia and other geriatric communication disorders
• Solid documentation and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to create measurable, functional treatment goals
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members
• Familiarity with ASHA guidelines and state practice standards
