Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition changes accurately
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Ensure resident dignity and comfort while following care plans and safety protocols
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania) required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Current basic immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Background check and drug screen clearance as required by the facility
• Prior CNA experience preferred but new graduates who meet requirements are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, basic patient care and safety practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Good documentation practices and basic charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Comfortable assisting with mobility, transfers and personal care tasks
