Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub for outpatient OR cases across ENT, Ortho, GYN, GU, Hand, General, Plastics and Neuro — maintain a pristine sterile field
• Prepare instruments, implants and sterile supplies for multiple OR suites to keep cases running on time
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and provide efficient, calm intraoperative support
• Assist with room turnover and instrument counts to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency
• Document perioperative details in Cerner (minimal charting expected) and communicate case status to the team
• Participate in orientation and unit training; float to nearby Federal Way or Seattle locations as needed for volume coverage

Qualifications

• Washington surgical technologist license required at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical tech in relevant service lines (ENT, Ortho, GYN, GU, Hand, General, Plastics, Neuro)
• BLS certification required
• CST preferred
• Scrubbing experience required and strong familiarity with OR sterile technique

Education

• Surgical technologist certificate or diploma (preferred); high school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven expertise in scrubbing and sterile technique
• Comfortable working in an outpatient ambulatory surgery center with multiple OR suites
• Familiarity with Cerner for basic intraoperative documentation
• Strong instrument and equipment knowledge across multiple surgical specialties
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced OR environment
• Ability to float to nearby facilities when needed
