Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, typically 3x12 per week: Day shifts 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM (3x12) and Night shifts 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM (3x12); schedule rotates every 4 weeks, includes variable weekends; orientation: Week 1 Mon-Fri days, Week 2 = 36 hours on-unit with preceptor

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient nursing care for adults with hematology and oncology diagnoses, including lymphoma, leukemias and multiple myeloma
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy and IV therapies, adhering to safety and body-fluid handling protocols
- Perform blood product administration and central line blood draws with strict adherence to transfusion and line-care policies
- Continuously monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and activate rapid response teams when needed
- Manage feeding tubes, insulin/heparin drips and other high-acuity therapies safely and confidently
- Use EPIC for accurate, timely electronic charting and interdisciplinary communication
- Participate in infection prevention initiatives and fall-prevention strategies to protect vulnerable patients
- Float to other Med/Surg and Oncology units as needed and contribute positively to team staffing needs
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license (able to practice in Ohio)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; MedSurg experience required; hematology/oncology experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS required; OCN/ONS certification preferred
- Demonstrated IV therapy skills: starting IVs, PICC and central line management, peripheral line care
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Familiarity with EPIC or other electronic charting systems
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and float between Med/Surg and Oncology units
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and on-unit monitoring
- Chemotherapy administration and post-chemotherapy body fluid handling
- Blood product administration and transfusion safety
- Central line and PICC care, including blood draws from central lines
- Feeding tube care and management
- Infection prevention protocols and fall risk mitigation
- Use of infusion pumps (Alaris) and GE telemetry/B450 monitoring systems
- Proficient electronic charting with EPIC
