Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate hands-on care and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments following infection control practices
• Document care interventions clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Observe patients closely and promptly communicate clinical concerns to nursing staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including patient transfers and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection prevention practices
• Skilled in taking and recording vital signs and observing patient condition
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and documentation standards
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
