Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and create individualized occupational therapy plans
• Deliver skilled OT interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, physicians, and caregivers to coordinate care
• Document assessments, plans, progress, and discharge summaries clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and safety
• Recommend adaptive equipment, splints, and orthoses when clinically indicated
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Occupational Therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s or entry-level doctorate preferred)
• NBCOT certification preferred or active
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Previous clinical experience in rehab, outpatient, or acute care settings preferred
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records

Education

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or entry-level OTD preferred
• Graduation from an accredited OT program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention
• Proficient in therapeutic techniques including splinting and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Solid clinical reasoning and goal-setting tailored to patient function
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Time management and caseload prioritization
• Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and outcome measurement
