Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations safely and accurately
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images
- Ensure patient comfort and communicate clearly with patients and families
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain proper shielding practices
- Review images for quality and collaborate with radiologists on findings
- Maintain equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and report issues promptly
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and comply with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or state-equivalent certification
- Valid California radiologic technologist license as required
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 10-hour shifts and occasional weekends
- Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in positioning and imaging techniques for diagnostic X-rays
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and exposure reduction
- Experience with PACS and digital imaging systems
- Ability to assess image quality and make necessary adjustments
- Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Compassionate patient handling, including working with pediatric and geriatric patients
