Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming and feeding
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation with proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA listing or state equivalent
• Comfortable working evening shift hours and performing hands-on resident care
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• CNA certification (certificate or diploma)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of resident-centered care and infection prevention
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, mobility support
• Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced long-term care setting
