Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver hands-on and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans of care, and document outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with rehab team members, nurses, and physicians to coordinate multidisciplinary care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and functional recovery strategies
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic workflows
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license for Ohio or eligibility for state licensure
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program; DPT preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Outpatient or rehabilitation experience preferred and valued
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, plus a professional attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in musculoskeletal and functional mobility assessment
- Proficient with therapeutic exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques
- Experience with outcome measures and functional progress tracking
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care effectively
- Ability to educate patients and caregivers in plain, encouraging language
- Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
