Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor adult and geriatric patients on Med-Surg Oncology telemetry using GE B450 monitors and Alaris pumps
• Provide expert cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely interventions
• Administer and manage IV therapy, start IVs, handle PICC/central line care and access ports safely
• Prepare for and assist with blood product administration and arterial line management
• Support oncologic care including symptom management related to chemotherapy and disease progression
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) patients
• Interpret ABGs and collaborate with respiratory services on CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care
• Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC, ensuring safe transitions and clear communication
• Practice and champion infection prevention and fall prevention protocols at bedside
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response and social services

Qualifications

• Active RN license in accordance with state requirements
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS (BCLS) certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring/telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Demonstrated IV start/IV therapy skills, central line/PICC and port care experience
• Experience with blood product administration and arterial line management
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow in oncology care
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity and work a 1:4 patient ratio
• Previous travel experience preferred
