Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the acuity spectrum, from urgent to critical
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients including cardiac and trauma cases
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the ED team to implement timely treatment plans
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately
• Maintain readiness for pediatric emergencies and apply PALS/TNCC skills when needed
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication during stressful moments
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a culture of safety in the ED

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
• Active BLS (Healthcare Provider) required
• ACLS required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
• PALS required
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing, trauma care, or cardiac care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity situations
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and triage principles
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize effectively during peak volume
• Proficient documentation and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable caring for pediatric and adult patients in emergent conditions
