Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop timely care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and promote best practices

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license (New Mexico) — compact license accepted where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications welcomed
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN for RNs; diploma or certificate for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV care
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient focus
• Collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams
