Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI, CT, X-Ray and fluoroscopic exams for patients across all populations, including NICU, CCU and ED
• Operate imaging equipment independently with attention to image acquisition and radiation safety
• Position patients safely and compassionately to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Complete accurate documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and billing
• Retrieve and verify orders and patient history to ensure timely and appropriate exams
• Assist medical staff in other departments as needed to support patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to DNV and Bozeman Health standards
• Support and mentor peers through training and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

• Montana Radiologic Technologist License (required)
• ARRT certification in CT and MRI (advanced certification required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent (required)
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience, including 2 years of CT and/or MRI experience
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor degree in health care related studies
• Preferred experience in NICU, CCU or ED settings and prior peer-training experience

Education

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program (required)
• Associate or Bachelor degree in health care related studies (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in MRI, CT, X-Ray and fluoroscopy imaging and image acquisition
• Thorough knowledge of patient positioning and radiation safety practices
• Comfortable with documentation, archiving, and basic billing processes
• Proficient with common computer applications used for imaging and reporting
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Able to prioritize, analyze, and manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment
• Sound judgment, patience, and professional demeanor under pressure
