Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-focused nursing care following facility policies and standards
- Assess patient condition, document findings, and develop plans of care in collaboration with the team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care and positive outcomes
- Provide patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions home
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient status with timely interventions and escalation when needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico (or compact RN licensure as applicable)
- Or current Licensed Practical Nurse license if applying for LPN opportunities at this facility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
- Active clinical experience in acute care or relevant nursing setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Education
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- LPN: Practical nursing diploma or equivalent as required by state licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical prioritization skills
- Competence with medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic health records and basic computer skills
- Ability to triage and escalate changes in patient status appropriately
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management
