Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift); floating schedule with 3 days on-site at Starkville Manor and 2 days floating to Winona Manor (typical coverage includes Mon/Tue/Wed at Starkville with additional float days)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on and therapeutic interventions to restore mobility and function
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families to support home program adherence and long-term outcomes
- Participate in department quality initiatives and clinically meaningful outcomes tracking
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license (active or eligible) — Mississippi licensure preferred
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree (see education section)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation or acute care settings preferred
- Comfort with floating between facilities and adapting to different patient populations
- Strong documentation skills and ability to use electronic medical records
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Or Master’s/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with equivalent clinical experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, gait training and balance retraining
- Skilled in manual therapy techniques and patient handling
- Knowledge of restorative nursing and rehab-focused care pathways
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and collaborate across disciplines
