Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess patients, monitor status, and report changes promptly to the care team
• Document care clearly and timely to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient needs and help maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact RN license as required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred when applicable
• Clinical experience as an RN in an acute care or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Clear TB screening and immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Ability to prioritize and manage a busy patient assignment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Infection control best practices and patient safety focus
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education ability
