Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality adult medical-surgical nursing care to meet patient needs
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and implement appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care, observations, and communication clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to patient changes and escalate concerns to ensure patient safety
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and adhere to Regional West performance expectations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ready to practice and bring your Med-Surg expertise
• Experience working on an adult medical-surgical unit (travel nurse experience welcome)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and following facility policies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinicians and families

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of adult medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills with attention to safety
• Patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care planning
• Accurate charting and clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks, triage, and manage a varied patient assignment
