Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift to support recovery and safety
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy and document care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate overnight care and smooth handoffs
• Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions with confidence
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligible for compact licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS) preferred
• Prior acute care or hospital experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and TB screening
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively overnight

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize, triage and manage multiple patients during busy night shifts
• Teamwork, adaptability and calm problem-solving under pressure
