Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to adults in the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Document patient care, observations and interventions clearly and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, providers and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Step in confidently to cover LOA/FMLA staffing needs and ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge needs
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Maine (per role applied)
• Active BLS/CPR certification; additional certifications as required by facility
• Prior experience in acute care or relevant clinical setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program (diploma, ADN, or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in medication administration and patient assessment
• Solid clinical judgment and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Accurate charting and documentation skills
• Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams and adapting to unit workflows
• Time management, organization and attention to detail
• Patient-centered approach with empathy and clear communication
