Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and support for residents' daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, and mobility while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and promptly in the facility charting system
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Create a welcoming, respectful environment that supports residents' emotional well-being
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-required) or ability to obtain state certification prior to start
• T-CNA designation listed as a plus
• Flu shot required by state regulations — must be current
• Comfortable working every other weekend as scheduled
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and any required screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
• Basic competency in taking and recording vital signs and observing changes
• Familiarity with infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Accurate documentation and time management in a fast-paced care setting
