Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the Cath Lab for pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patients
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and the surgical team to ensure smooth, safe procedures
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret cardiac rhythms to identify changes and escalate as needed
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all equipment is procedure-ready
• Perform patient education and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy
• Respond promptly and professionally when on-call to support urgent cardiac cases
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement, and teamwork on the unit

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required prior to the start of contract
• Experience working in a Cath Lab setting (Registered Nurse - Cath Lab)
• Willingness and ability to take frequent on-call shifts and work consecutive weekends as needed
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to act decisively in urgent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional and patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of cardiac procedures and Cath Lab workflow
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
• Familiarity with Cath Lab equipment and procedural instrumentation
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and multidisciplinary collaboration
