Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and clinical assessments during overnight hours
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and on time
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress clearly in the medical record
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition with calm leadership
• Educate patients and families, promoting recovery and self-care during transitions
• Support smooth handoffs and thorough communication with day-shift colleagues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be eligible to practice in New Mexico (state license or compact privilege)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Previous acute care / med-surg experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• Clean clinical background, strong references, and ability to pass required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork to coordinate patient care across shifts
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain composed in fast-paced situations
• Patient- and family-centered approach with strong teaching skills
