Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: PRN schedule: 2 weekend days per month (Friday and one Saturday, not necessarily back-to-back) plus 4 weekdays per month; shift times vary and will be confirmed by the scheduler; rotating/variable shifts
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies
- Assess patient condition, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and other team members to coordinate care
- Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Step in as a reliable team player on PRN days to maintain continuity of care
Qualifications
- Transition candidates only (please do not submit if you are not a transition candidate)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred when applicable
- Clinical experience in acute care or the relevant specialty preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on PRN shifts
- Completed background checks and required facility credentialing
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Effective communication and patient education skills
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Teamwork and adaptability for variable PRN assignments
