Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Assess patient condition, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and other team members to coordinate care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Step in as a reliable team player on PRN days to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Transition candidates only (please do not submit if you are not a transition candidate)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred when applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care or the relevant specialty preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on PRN shifts
• Completed background checks and required facility credentialing

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Effective communication and patient education skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Teamwork and adaptability for variable PRN assignments
