Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift — day shift classification). Specific days not provided in posting.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff to ensure timely care
- Support dining and feeding needs, including meal setup and assistance during service
- Maintain accurate, respectful documentation of care and resident interactions
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families, contributing to a warm community environment
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or state equivalent required
- Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers; ability to stand and move for shift duration
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach
- Previous long-term care or geriatric care experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification or state-recognized nursing aide credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care needs and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring and reporting
- Familiarity with infection control, hygiene, and resident safety practices
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans
