Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nighttime care to geriatric residents, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication during shift handoffs
• Support admissions, transfers and routine bedside procedures as needed
• Promote dignity and independence for every resident through person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Comfortable and reliable working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
• Compassionate approach to elder care and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow facility policies, complete required documentation and collaborate with nursing staff

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and promoting resident dignity
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers
• Basic observation skills to recognize and report changes in condition
• Familiarity with documentation and accurate charting practices
• Strong teamwork, time management and communication skills
