Shift Type: Days: To be confirmed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift / partial night coverage)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility with dignity and compassion
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff to ensure timely care
- Support safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote independence and prevent injury
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, meals and activities according to facility standards
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes social engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland or equivalent credential
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
- Clear background check and ability to pass any required health screenings
- Comfortable working with older adults and committed to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care routines
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Understanding of infection control best practices
- Ability to observe, report and follow care plans and nurse instructions
- Compassion, patience and strong interpersonal skills for working with geriatric patients
