Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (start time flexible — must fall between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM); Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based rehabilitative treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Deliver ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises and modalities tailored to each patient
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates and recommended adjustments with your supervising OT
- Accurately document care and treatment minutes in the electronic medical record per regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review and rehabilitation meetings to advocate for great outcomes
- Provide education and consultation to patients, families and caregivers to support functional independence
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to secure necessary DME and supplies for patient care
- Supervise and support OTA students during Level II fieldwork under OT guidance
Qualifications
- Active OTA license/registration (Missouri — Compact allowed) — required
- Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required (LTC or SNF experience required)
- New grads accepted if they have Level II fieldwork experience (Level I observation alone is not sufficient)
- Familiarity with NBCOT/AOTA practice acts and adherence to professional ethics and conduct
- Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and accurately tracking treatment minutes
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervising OTs and interdisciplinary team members
Education
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training
- Level II fieldwork experience required for new grads
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL retraining and functional therapeutic activities
- Use of therapeutic exercises, modalities and assistive/supportive devices
- Ability to assess patient progress and report outcomes to supervising OT
- Proficient electronic documentation and treatment minutes tracking
- Experience working in LTC/SNF environments and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience with DME processes and coordinating supplies for patient care
- Student supervision and mentorship experience (preferred)
