Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents — assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor residents' condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention measures to protect residents
• Assist with meal service and document intake as required
• Perform reliable documentation of care, vital signs, and observations
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Class: GNA) or state equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
• Comfortable with electronic or paper documentation systems
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
