Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents with attention and professionalism
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document promptly
• Perform focused patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort while maintaining dignity and respect
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the facility's charting system

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Maryland (or eligible for state licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (LPN)
• For RN candidates: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Basic wound care and ADL support knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Good clinical judgment, assessment, and prioritization
• Professional bedside manner and ability to work with diverse populations
