Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and perform thorough nursing assessments
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status, interventions and responses in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment and follow infection control protocols
• Report changes in patient condition promptly and contribute to quality improvement

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing (RN or LPN acceptable)
• Relevant clinical experience preferred; facility will specify required years
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to adapt in a travel assignment

Education

• Completion of an accredited nursing program appropriate to license (LPN or RN program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Comfortable with medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Infection prevention and patient safety best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient education ability
