Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic exams independently for ER and inpatient patients
• Operate and optimize Carestream imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Document procedures, images and patient care accurately in EPIC
• Position patients safely and compassionately, adapting for trauma and emergency situations
• Communicate clearly with ED staff and inpatient teams to prioritize urgent imaging needs
• Maintain radiation safety, equipment QC, and proper infection control practices
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to meet site standards
• Support holiday and weekend coverage as needed to ensure continuous patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience; experience working independently on midnight shift strongly preferred
• Experience with Carestream imaging systems and EPIC documentation highly desired
• Completion of site-specific competency testing (Trinity specialty competencies) will be required prior to or upon start
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screening as listed by the facility (fit test, MMR, Hep B, TB screening, varicella, COVID-19, influenza, drug screen)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiography fundamentals and patient positioning
• Strong emergency radiology skills and comfort with ER imaging workflow
• Experience performing inpatient radiography and trauma imaging
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize high-acuity exams at night
• Familiarity with Carestream PACS and EPIC electronic health record
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and clear documentation
• Commitment to radiation safety, infection control, and patient-centered care
