Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional status and design individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve mobility and independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or Bachelor's/Master’s in Physical Therapy where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and gait training
• Knowledge of inpatient rehab protocols and discharge planning
• Proficient documentation and use of electronic medical records
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and fall-prevention strategies
