Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent, compassionate patient care during night shifts, focusing on safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care thoroughly.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition; escalate concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans.
• Perform wound care and assist with routine nursing procedures following facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families in a clear, respectful way to support recovery and discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or practical nursing certification; must be eligible to practice in North Carolina.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus.
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening checks.
• Comfortable with night-shift clinical responsibilities and working independently when needed.
• Previous LPN experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma or certificate).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation practices.
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs and recognizing clinical changes.
• Good wound care and basic clinical procedure skills.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and clinical teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night shift environment.
• Basic familiarity with electronic health record documentation.
