Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patients' vital signs during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy and care plans
• Document patient status, care provided, and changes in condition in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe handoffs
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and promote comfort during the night shift
• Respond to patient calls and emergent situations with calm, competent action
• Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (eligible for assignment as Licensed Practical Nurse) — New Mexico licensure or ability to obtain required
• Active, unrestricted nursing license in good standing
• Clinical experience in acute care or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks in a timely manner
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively on night shift

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or registered nursing program as applicable
• Required state nursing licensure for practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and patient monitoring skills
• Comfortable with overnight patient assessment and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, clear communication, and reliable clinical judgment
