Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a rehab setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy with precision and safety
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety measures
• Monitor patient status and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Rehabilitation nursing or acute care experience preferred
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or specialty rehab credentials are a plus
• Ability to complete facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Wound care and mobility assistance common in rehab settings
• Strong documentation skills in electronic medical records
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and quality outcomes
