Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents as an LPN, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor resident conditions, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers with attention to detail
- Participate in care planning and communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary staff
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Ability to work night shifts reliably and professionally
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- LPN diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic assessment skills and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with nursing care plans and long-term care workflows
- Compassionate resident-centered care and strong observational skills
- Time management for overnight care and effective handoff communication
