Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient needs and set meaningful goals
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and functional recovery
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care
• Document progress, outcomes and discharge planning clearly and timely
• Provide patient and family education to support carryover of skills and home safety
• Float to Scotland Manor once per week to deliver consistent, high-quality care across sites

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or eligible to obtain state licensure
• OTR/L credential preferred
• Active professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum clinical experience delivering adult or geriatric care preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; friendly, adaptable, and patient-centered

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent degree)
• Completion of accredited OT program and applicable state licensure requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessments, ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activity design
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time across multiple patients
• Competence in patient and caregiver education with a compassionate approach
• Comfortable with a float assignment and coordinating care across facilities
