Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognition and swallowing needs using evidence-based methods
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional progress
• Implement therapy sessions and modify approaches based on patient response
• Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and families to ensure coordinated care
• Provide education and training to caregivers and staff to support carryover
• Monitor and report clinical outcomes to contribute to program quality
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• State SLP license or ability to obtain licensure in South Carolina
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience with clinical assessments, treatment planning and documentation
• Comfortable working in a contract/traveler role and able to start 2025-12-29

Education

• Master's in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in articulation, language, pragmatic and cognitive-communication interventions
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and safe swallowing strategies
• Proficient in electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to educate caregivers and adapt therapy for functional goals
