Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform routine assessments, document patient status, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow patient-centered care plans
• Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Contribute to a positive work environment by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (Required) — Registered Nurse (RN) candidates also encouraged to inquire
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or PALS if required by unit
• Recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program; ADN/BSN for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and basic charting
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Comfortable with IV starts, wound care, and common nursing procedures as applicable
• Ability to prioritize and manage time during busy shifts
