Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight; specific days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs and document changes accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient transitions
- Respond promptly to patient needs and acute changes in condition
- Support admissions, discharges and bedside education with clarity and empathy
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and protocols
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for some units
- Current ACLS/PALS as required by unit or facility
- Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred (1+ year recommended)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently overnight and communicate clearly with team members
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment for acute and post-acute patients
- Medication administration and IV site/line management
- Electronic medical record documentation experience
- Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
