Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs and document changes accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient transitions
• Respond promptly to patient needs and acute changes in condition
• Support admissions, discharges and bedside education with clarity and empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for some units
• Current ACLS/PALS as required by unit or facility
• Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred (1+ year recommended)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently overnight and communicate clearly with team members

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment for acute and post-acute patients
• Medication administration and IV site/line management
• Electronic medical record documentation experience
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
