Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for individuals in a psychiatric program
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans informed by evidence-based practices
- Deliver individual and group therapy focused on symptom reduction, coping skills and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
- Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions as needed and document clinical findings in the medical record
- Perform risk assessments and crisis intervention as required to maintain patient and staff safety
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement and case reviews to enhance services
Qualifications
- California licensure as a Psychologist (Doctoral level) preferred; active, unrestricted license required for independent practice
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or equivalent clinical training
- Experience working in psychiatric or forensic/institutional mental health settings preferred
- Demonstrated competency in assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based psychotherapy
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements
Education
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology

- Trauma-informed and culturally competent care
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and case coordination
