Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to adults in a substance abuse treatment setting
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and intake evaluations to inform treatment planning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support recovery and behavioral change
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and provide integrated services
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in accordance with facility standards
- Participate in the one-week training and ongoing professional development to maintain high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active California Psychologist license (PSY) OR active California LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license
- Licensure must be in good standing with the appropriate California licensing board
- Ability to work the scheduled Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift and attend the one-week training at 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills for working with substance use and co-occurring conditions
- Comfort working in a structured treatment facility and willingness to complete required facility onboarding and training
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) for Psychologist roles
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy for LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC roles
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention
- Skilled in behavioral health assessment, risk assessment, and crisis intervention
- Strong documentation and treatment planning skills
- Ability to lead and facilitate group therapy effectively
- Collaborative communication skills for working with a multidisciplinary team
- Cultural competence and trauma-informed care approach
