Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults in a substance abuse treatment setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals informed by best practices
• Provide individual and group therapy focused on mental health and substance use recovery
• Collaborate with correctional health staff and rehabilitation teams to support patient progress
• Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the patient's record
• Participate in care planning, discharge planning, and continuity of care efforts

Qualifications

• Active California Psychologist license (PSY) required. LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC credentials considered where applicable
• Experience or strong interest in mental health and substance abuse treatment
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM reliably
• Comfort and professionalism working within a correctional/substance abuse treatment facility environment
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic skills

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology for Psychologist roles
• Master's degree (MSW) for LCSW roles or equivalent graduate training as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mental health assessment and diagnosis
• Evidence-based substance abuse treatment modalities and relapse prevention
• Group therapy facilitation and individual psychotherapy skills
• Crisis intervention and stabilization techniques
• Clear clinical documentation and collaborative team communication
