Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Perform routine vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide safe and attentive bedside care while following individualized care plans
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility record system
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance to reduce fall risk
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-required) — current and in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including lifting, transfers, and long periods on your feet

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Reliable documentation and time-management skills
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to learn from nursing staff
